This is an important reminder from the Levittown School District. The Levittown School District has designated Thursday, November 10, 2011, as the date we will conduct our state required emergency sheltering and early dismissal drill. On that date approximately 20 minutes before dismissal students will be assembled in the designated sheltering areas for their building. Approximately ten minutes before the end of the day students will be dismissed. Transportation will be adjusted on that day for all students who are eligible for bus services. All parents should make whatever arrangements are necessary to ensure adequate coverage for their student’s arrival home ten minutes early. This is an important message from Levittown Public schools. We want to inform you of an incident currently taking place in Wantagh and as a precautionary measure, the district is now in a lockout. Therefore students will not be permitted to leave the building until further notice. We will continue to monitor to situation and let you know should anything change.

This is an important message from the Levittown Public Schools to inform you that Wisdom Middle School is experiencing a power outage. There is no phone access at this time. Instruction is proceeding as usual and students will be released at the regular dismissal times. All afterschool activities will be cancelled for today so that LIPA can restore full power.

As a result, all buildings will be closed tomorrow, Monday, August 29. To ensure safety, staff should not report to work. Additionally, all events and practices will be canceled for tomorrow.
