Drivers Education

Driver Education is a self-sustaining program offered to Levittown School District resident students who are in or going into twelfth grade, have attained the age of 16 and have obtained a valid NYS Drivers Permit. The cost of the program is $450.00.

Drivers Education is provided three semesters per year.

For the school year 2007-2008, Drivers Education will be offered as follows:

  • Fall session-Begins September 24,2007
    Registration for MacArthur H.S.-September 18,2007 Cafeteria A at 2:45
    Registration for Division Ave. H.S.-September 17,2007 Cafeteria West at 2:45

  • Spring session-Begins February 4,2007
    Registration for MacArthur H.S.-January 15,2008 Cafeteria A at 2:45
    Registration for Division Ave. H.S.-January 14,2008 Cafeteria West at 2:45

  • Summer school - Pre-Registration for:
    • MacArthur High School - May 7, 2008, Cafeteria A at 2:45 PM
    • Division High School - May 8, 2008, Cafeteria West at 2:45 PM

By NYSED and DMV mandate, the program must meet for 24 classroom hours and 24 hours in the car, six hours behind the wheel and eighteen hours observation. All sessions are 90 minutes each.
