Jacqueline Testamark, junior at DAHS, recently submitted her audition and application for the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) National Honors Mixed Choir. The NAfME National Honor Ensembles represent the top performing high school musicians in the United States. Last spring, Jacqueline received a perfect score of 100 at the NYSSMA/All-State adjudication festival. Along with her score, teacher and adjudicator recommendations, Jacqueline was selected to perform in the NYSSMA All-State Mixed Choir. The rehearsals and concert took place this past December in Rochester, New York. Students who were selected to perform at the All-State level, qualified to audition for the National Honors Ensembles. Jacqueline had to prepare a specific piece selected by the organization and had the option to perform a secondary piece of her choice. The application was completed and videos were uploaded. Applicants will be notified by late June if they have been selected. If selected, Jacqueline will attend rehearsals in early November and perform in Orlando, Florida. Best of luck to Jacqueline!
