East Broadway Elementary School fifth graders in Mr. Meehan's and Ms. Neligan's classes recently participated in a Cinco d
e Mayo Scavenger Hunt during Spanish class with teacher Julia Moore. The educational activity gave 16 interesting facts about Cinco de Mayo and students worked either together or separately. Cinco de Mayo Scavenger Hunt cards were scattered around the school library where students were able to find them. Students found the cards on chairs, on the computer keyboard, on the back of the library door, on the sides of desks, on the whiteboard and more. After searching the room and finding all of the sentence cards, the students could answer the questions about Cinco de Mayo. The classes had a great time completing the hands-on learning activity!
