Levittown Public Schools Teachers' Center
Created in 1984 by the New York State Legislature to help teachers effectively infuse new technology, Teacher Centers have continuously grown and evolved to support the needs of educators. Teachers Center represents a grass-roots organization developed and operated locally by teachers. Together the Centers form a powerful network dedicated to delivering customized services to educators.
The Levittown Teachers' Center was born over 22 years ago, from the vision that teachers need a forum to meet and exchange ideas, problems and concerns, and learn from other colleagues. Our center is run by a Policy Board, which, by law, consists of a majority of classroom teachers. These members volunteer their time to attend monthly meeting and to govern the distribution of grant funds. After you have a chance to review our programs, please feel free to e-mail or call with any comments or questions you would like to address. If you, or someone you know wish to participate in a center-sponsored workshop or a graduate program, please let us know. We hope to see you at one of our many courses.
