Ms. Fermature's class was able to have the extreme pleasure of meeting Ms. Brooke Wurst, the thriving force behind an orphanage in Africa. The children were able to hear first hand how the students' fundraising efforts and pen pal letters have made a significant difference in the lives of the children there. The students were assisting Ms. Wurst's non-profit organization, TRIAD. From photos of playing sports to educational material on hygiene and a variety of music and arts - Ms. Fermature's class was able to understand the "big picture" their efforts have made in Africa. What a lasting impact this experience has had on Ms. Fermature and her class! The children will continue their efforts in Salk next year!
