Lee Road Community Service honors some very special students with a Hero Award (an acronym for Help Others Respect Everyone).

Last month, the students of Lee Road made artwork displaying how they make healthy choices.

Lee Road students in the Levittown School District have been showing that they care about the country's service men and women.

Detective Pamela Stark from the Community Affairs division of the Nassau County Police Department spoke to fifth-grade students at Lee Road Elementary School in the Levittown School District about healthy choices and the dangers of drugs and alcohol.

During the week of March 25th, students at Lee Road School engaged in a variety of activities centered around the acronym LEADD which stands for Levittown Educators Against Destructive Decisions.

On Monday, March 20th, Frank Mumolo, a second grade student in Mrs. Dillon's class, served as Principal for the Day.

Second graders, in Mrs. Wolin's class at Lee Road School, performed puppet plays about the environment.

Kindergarten students at Lee Road Elementary School in the Levittown School District celebrated Dr. Seuss' 108th birthday and the 75th anniversary of his first publication in 1937, And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street.

Lee Road School recently held a Terrific Kids Assembly for fifth grade students. Sponsored by the Levittown Kiwanis Club, the program recognizes students that demonstrate the outstanding character traits established by the Kiwanis organization.

Inspired by two incredible Canadian high school students, the students and faculty of Lee Road Elementary School in Wantagh wore pink on Valentine's Day to symbolize that we as a community will not tolerate bullying anywhere!

The week of January 23rd Lee Road Students took a field trip to the Levittown Historical Museum.

As a conclusion to our unit on Mexico, 5th graders from Lee Road Elementary School in Wantagh attended an entertaining afternoon at Mango's Restaurant in Bethpage.

Mrs. Welsch's third graders at Lee Road School went on a virtual holiday shopping spree. They were given a budget of $250 which they could not exceed.

Lee Road kindergarten students enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving feast on Tuesday, November 22, 2011.

Lee Road Community Service Committee conducted their annual "Coats for Kids" drive.

Thanks to a presentation from LIPA, Lee Road's fourth graders now know important information about electricity that will keep them out of harm's way!

Second graders in Mrs. Wolin's class at Lee Road School use the Smart Board to utilized the interactive digital component in their new math program; enVision. The children are extremely excited and motivated for each math lesson!

A student council assembly was held on October 25 at Lee Road Elementary School. Students who were running for this year's positions prepared and read their speeches for the 4th and 5th graders in the school.

The Community Service Committee of Lee Road Elementary School in Wantagh collected dog and cat food that was donated to Bobbi and The Strays; a 100% non-profit no-kill animal rescue organization located in Freeport, New York.

See it, feel it, hear it, touch it. That's how children learn best. On October 26th, Lee Road's fourth graders got the chance to do just that.

The Lee Road Community Service Committee recently organized a highly successful food drive for pets at the Stop and Shop Supermarket in North Bellmore.
