MacArthur Musicians Slated for NMEA All-County

MacArthur High School All-County Musicians.

Twenty-four students from MacArthur High School were chosen to participate in the Nassau Music Educators Association All-County festivals, which will be held at the C.W. Post Tilles Center on January 16th.

Students are selected for All-County festivals based upon their individual NYSSMA scores and teacher recommendations. Scores are determined from student solo performances (voice or instrument) that are evaluated by professional adjudicators each spring.

Principal Kathleen Valentino and Music Chairperson Ken Walden salute the MacArthur music teachers, Ms. Iris Winter (Orchestra), Mr. Joseph Romano (Band/Jazz Band), Ms. Alison Sellars (Chorus) and Ms. Paige Hardison (Mixed Chorus) and congratulate our All-County performers, who are among the finest music students in Nassau County. The students, their instruments and All-County performing groups are:

Band
Jason Boniello (12) Trumpet/Cornet; Adam Brulhardt (12) Alto Sax; Matthew Cooper (11) Trumpet/Cornet; Timothy Koski (11) Trombone; Deanna Scopaz (10) Bb Clarinet.

Chorus
Sean Patrick Hurley (9) Baritone; Michael Marrero (10) Baritone; Anthony Mora (9) Baritone; Connor Mulholland (10) Tenor; Samantha Siclari (9) Soprano.

Mixed Chorus
Damon Evans (11) Tenor; Jesse Frye (12) Tenor; Christina Regan (11) Soprano;Melissa Schachter (12) Alto; Lisa Stockman (12) Soprano; Stephanie Weiss (12) Soprano.

Orchestra
