The Levittown School District is pleased to announce that four senior members of the varsity track team at MacArthur High School have signed National Letters of Intent to continue their sport at Adelphi University this fall.

MacArthur's Becky Hopkins was awarded the Diamond Level of Circle K's Worldwide Service Project medal by the West Hempstead Court Aktion Club.

Senior Melissa Slyper was invited to speak about her research of teen sexting, social networking, and narcissism to faculty and students at Dowling College on April 30th. Melissa's analysis concluded that narcissism and texting seemed to be strongly correlated.

Thirteen seniors, accompanied by Ms. Fritch, Ms. Spinnato, and Mr. Brown, took a 9 day tourism and service learning trip to Peru from April 5th through April 13th.

Four MacArthur students have won Honorable Mention at the Annual Irish Cultural Society Essay Contest Awards. Brianne Giuliano, Shannon Downey, Brian Schwartz, and Joseph Rich each won $30 and a Certificate of Merit.
