To celebrate the first day of fall in Mrs. Farley's first grade class, students learned about a favorite fall snack, apples! After learning about the life cycle of the apple and how the tree changes through the seasons, it was time to taste. Students predicted which apple would be their favorite (red, yellow, or green), recorded their predictions with tally marks, and enjoyed tasting the apples. To our surprise, red wasn't the favorite as we predicted. Green was our favorite. After comparing our results to our predictions, students made a bar graph of our favorite apple colors. Yum!
