This month, several third grade classes worked with Corie Cosgrove on programing. She came to teach coding to the students using Ozobots. An Ozobot is a little toy robot that combines the physical and the digital worlds and teaches kids programming. After some instruction, third graders trained the robots to follow patterns on the surfaces that they roll over. Ozobots can identify lines, colors, and codes on paper. Students calibrated the robots to follow strokes by holding down a power button and drawing lines for the robot to follow. Students created simple and complicated patterns. Fun and learning was had by all.
