A Message From The Principal

August 24, 2020

Dear Northside Families,

Welcome parents and students to the start of the 2020-2021 school year! I hope that you had the opportunity to create wonderful memories with the ones you love over these past few challenging months. Though we are entering a time of unknown expectations, we as a staff are extremely excited to come back to school, greet the children, and begin to provide a safe, nurturing environment in which all community members can thrive.

Though much has changed since the last time we were all together, you can be reassured that there are many things to look forward to. We look forward to all the children receiving chrome books as we continue to expand on our ability to teach, learn, and grow in the world in which we now live. By utilizing and embracing technology, our children will strengthen their ability to learn through remote access, individually, as well in the traditional classroom setting. We hope that this access to technology will motivate the children as they prepare for life and jobs that require well-rounded individuals who are knowledgeable in technology, problem-solving skills with a strong foundation of all subject areas. We will also continue to build empathetic young minds who show patience and understanding for all. We at Northside look forward to this challenge!

Please take note that all school arrival and dismissal protocols as well as other pertinent school information will be placed online in the coming weeks of school for your perusal. We plan to continue this process to eventually eliminate the need to utilize so much paper in our mailings.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. We look forward to an outstanding year with our returning students, and look forward to developing life-long relationships with our incoming kindergarten families. We thank you for your continued support, and will work tirelessly in return for that trust. I look forward to seeing all of the children on September 8th!

With Warm Regards,
Mr. Frank Mortillaro, Principal
