Northside Students Enjoy Halloween
Northside students from kindergarten through fifth grade enjoyed a special day at school on Halloween. It started in the student drop-off area where Principal, Mr. Mortillaro, and speech teacher, Mrs. Alber, set up a display of glow-up ghosts and pumpkins and played Halloween songs through speakers for parents and students to hear as the children came to school.
In mid-morning, students, teachers, and all staff members paraded around Northside's neighborhood decked out in imaginative costumes. Throughout the day, the PTA sponsored a party for each grade scheduled at various times. The children moved between fun activity stations such as freeze dancing, Halloweens games, and a photo booth. The youngsters stayed in costumed all day as characters such as ninjas, pirates, cowboys and cowgirls, unicorns, queens, princesses, zombies, and movie stars. They did their classwork, took music lessons, and went to gym and art classes as these characters. Each was a sight to behold!
