For President's Day, Mrs. Nally's first grade students have been researching Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. Students have currently been learning how to take notes using an on-line encyclopedia. They have been using the on-line encyclopedia in the computer lab to learn how to: high-light main facts, locate important information, understand abbreviations, and to record information using bullet form for note-taking. Upon returning to the classroom, students used their notes to form complete sentences for their research projects. This fun, yet challenging activity showed the students' amazing potential!
