On Tuesday, April 20, 2010, Summit Lane held its annual Kindergarten tea. Parents of incoming Kindergartners for the 2010-11 school year were invited to attend the tea with their children. Parents were introduced to Dr. Evans (the Principal), Mrs. Stewart, (Kindergarten teacher), Dr. Haggerty (school psychologist), and Mrs. Holzapfel (Speech teacher), who discussed the DIAL screening and Kindergarten curriculum. Meanwhile, the incoming Kindergarten students started getting ready for their orientation. They took a quick tour of the school, listened to a story, and traced their hands for a banner. Afterwards, parents and their children met up together to enjoy refreshments in the cafeteria. A special thanks to all the PTA parents who helped out to make the tea run smoothly!
