Summit Lane Students Learn About Germs and Staying Healthy
April 03, 2012

Yes You Can LEADD... your way to being healthy and a germ buster!

On Wednesday, March 28th, First Graders and DLC students learned about germs and staying healthy. Ms. Angela, a nurse from St. Francis Hospital, spoke to the students about being germ busters and how important it is to wash ourselves, especially our hands. How can you help get rid of and fight germs? By eating healthy, getting rest, and by washing your hands for at least fifteen seconds. It also helps if you wash your hands for as long as you can sing "Happy Birthday" or the alphabet song. After the discussion, students got to use the GLO-GERM black light to see if they had germs on their hands. Then, they washed those germs away!
