Fourth graders in Pam Smith's class at Lee Road Elementary School in the Levittown Public School District recently constructed roller coaster to help in their study of energy.

Students discovered how the height and angle of the ramp affected the speed of the objects and the distance it traveled. They also observed first-hand how energy is transferred during a collision.
