To get into the holiday spirit, students in Stephanie DiMarco's second grade class at Lee Road Elementary School in the Levittown Public School District listened to stories about the Gingerbread Man.

Students learned how a gingerbread house is constructed, wrote about each step and created a festive gingerbread house out of paper. They later created real gingerbread houses using the steps they wrote about.
