MacArthur Science Research Team Competes in Long Island Regional Envirothon
MacArthur Science Research students weathered the rain and cold on Wednesday, 4/22 (Earth Day!!) to compete in the Long Island Regional Envirothon at the USDAN Center in Wheatley Heights. This is an annual environmental competition for Nassau and Suffolk County high school students that engages the next generation of environmental stewards in learning activities that promote the protection, preservation, and restoration of our natural resources, as a life-long commitment. Students spent the day outdoors participating in the following events: Soil, Forestry, Wildlife, Aquatics, Current Issue, and Oral Presentation. Congratulations to the following students for taking part in the event: Caroline Zegers, Michael Feiler, Frankie Harris, Shanica Sy, Eliana Hong, Danny Islam, Allyssa Aquino, Catherine Purirojejananon, Meaghan Campbell, and Ava Leek.
