Gardiners Ave. Elementary School - A Message From the Principal

August 24, 2020

Dear Gardiners Avenue Parents/Guardians,

I hope this letter finds you well! As we prepare to begin the 2020-2021 school year, I would like to welcome everyone back and also extend a warm welcome to all of our new students and families. We hope that everyone had a nice summer vacation spent with family and loved ones. The past few months have been a challenge for everyone and we have been making the best of difficult circumstances as we begin to embark on a new school year. This summer, our district has been planning and preparing for our school and district to reopen with safety at the forefront of our decision making process. I'm so very proud of the collaborative work that our district has done and am confident that we will have a successful school year.

As I have said many times before, Levittown is truly a special place. Moving forward this year, our goals will remain the same with a focus on ensuring that our students have the opportunity to reach their potential as learners so that they can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. In order to achieve this goal, we will continue to take a collaborative approach focusing on the district's goal of "Success for Every Student" and we look forward to working with both you and your child in any way that we can.

In an effort to showcase and highlight the many wonderful events/activities that are taking place in our building, we encourage you to visit the district website for important updates and to follow our school/district on various social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook). You will be able to quickly find out the latest news (activities, events, etc.) happening at Gardiners Avenue and within our district. Below, are the links to the three different social media accounts our building utilizes:

Please carefully review the enclosed building/district documents as these documents will provide important information regarding your child's education. Please note that the class placement letter will be available at a later date as we are in the process of finalizing our staffing for both in-person instruction and our new remote learning program. In addition, as we finalize our building reopening plans, we will send out notification as to when our building guidelines document will be available online on our building's website. This document will provide additional and more specific details regarding building operations and logistics (arrival/dismissal, lunch, etc.).

We are very excited to begin the school year and to supporting our students on their path to success. If you have any questions/concerns, please feel free to contact me. We look forward to seeing everyone soon!

Go Mustangs!
