Levittown Students Show Gratitude For Board Trustees
Students from throughout the Levittown School District made their gratitude heard as they thanked the board of education in recognition of School Board Appreciation Week at the Oct. 15 monthly meeting.
Students from Jonas E. Salk and Wisdom Lane middle schools, as well as Division Avenue and General Douglas MacArthur high school, stepped up the microphone to share messages of thanks. Both middle and high schoolers prepared a variety of gifts for trustees, including bleacher seats, flash drives, school merchandise and a new logo featuring both high school mascots crafted by the districtwide boys volleyball team. Additionally, elementary schoolers shared their thanks through a video presentation, and certificates were presented by County Executive Bruce Blakeman, Senator Steve Rhoads, Assemblyman John Mikulin and Town Councilman Dennis Dunne.?
Division Avenue High School student Manav Dubey and General Douglas MacArthur high school student Anthony Ross, both presidents of their respective student governments, thanked the Levittown Board of Education on Oct. 15.
Local representatives issued certificates to the board.
Salk and Wisdom Lane middle schoolers also thanked the board.
High schoolers brought a plethora of gifts for trustees.
