This past Sunday, our EcoAction club members participated in the Town of Hempstead Beach Cleanup at Point Lookout Beach. Students and community members came together to tackle marine debris and learn valuable skills in quantifying and reporting data to NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration).

Understanding the impact of pollution is crucial, especially near our beautiful shores where tides continuously bring in debris. Lido Beach is not only a stunning destination but also a vital nesting site for endangered species like the Piping Plover. Let's work together to keep our beaches clean and protect our environment!
