MacArthur Science Olympiad Starts Season Strong - image001 The MacArthur High School Science Olympiad team officially kicked off their in person competition season with a solid performance at the South Windsor Invitational on Saturday, December 13th.

The MacArthur crew dove headfirst into a whirlwind of STEM challenges, joining dozens of top-tier teams for a day of intense (but incredibly fun) competition. From cracking complex codes, launching a hovercraft, and tackling high-stakes physics problems, our students proved they have the brains and the grit to compete with the best in the nation. Special congratulations to Ramon Martinez and Prabhden Singh (1st in Hovercraft) and Logan Rodriguez, Catherine Purirojejananon, and Gianna Vu (3rd in Code Busters).

"This wasn't just about the competition; it was about the energy and the growth we saw in every single student," said team coaches Dr. Friedman and Mr. Zausin. "The dedication they showed over a 17 hour day has set a fantastic tone for the rest of the year. We've built a serious foundation for success."
