What an unforgettable performance by seniors Holland Boder, Abby Buenaventura, and Kylie Glenn; junior Rylee Korsky; and sophomores Megan Ghirardi, Victoria Heldt, and Hazel Miller as they captured the Girls Nassau County Bowling Championship for the second year in a row. This title was the result of a true team effort, led by captains Holland Boder and Abby Buenaventura, who bowled with poise and consistency while anchoring the lineup all day. Supporting them in a huge way, sophomores Megan Ghirardi, Victoria Heldt, and Hazel Miller, along with senior Kylie Glenn and junior Rylee Korsky, each bowled at least 30 pins above their average in one of the games, with Megan Ghirardi capping off the day with an outstanding 200 game to help seal the victory in the deciding match - proving that every role on this roster was vital to the final outcome. This historic run marked several firsts for the program. Last year was the first time the girls ever won the counties. This year was the first time they were back-to-back county champs and the first time they went undefeated in the conference.

The championship did not come easily. The girls opened the day in third place, trailing first-place Massapequa by more than 130 pins, but they never panicked or pressed. Instead, they stayed the course, trusted one another, and built momentum with each passing game. Every frame mattered, and each game built on the success of the previous one?culminating in the girls winning the county championship by more than 285 pins, an extremely impressive feat at this level of competition.

This team exemplifies what happens when talent, depth, chemistry, and work ethic come together - a true recipe for success. The season continues as the team prepares for the State Championship in March, while seniors Holland Boder and Abby Buenaventura advance to the individual championships next week.
