MacArthur Research Students Know Chemistry Matters!
On March 4st MacArthur Science Research students: Allyssa Aquino, Meaghan Campbell, Catherine Purirojejananon, Thomas Faso, Logan Maurer, and Caden Triolo, traveled to St. John's University to participate in the New York American Chemical Society's Chemagination. The competition, which requires a formal paper and poster presentation to a team of judges, seeks to inspire creativity and entrepreneurship. Students are asked to imagine they are living 25 years in the future and have been invited to write for ChemMatters, a magazine that emphasizes chemistry's role in the day-to-day life.
Congratulations to Thomas Faso, Logan Maurer, and Caden Triolo for taking 2nd Place in the "Environmental" category and Allyssa, Meaghan, and Catherine for taking 3nd Place in the "New Materials" category. Let's go Generals!
