The students in Mrs. Cottone's second grade class had an out of this world experience during their most recent field trip to the Vanderbilt Planetarium. They spent their day learning all about weather, map skills, and space exploration all from the comfort of their seats! Our young space explorers also had the opportunity to learn about the Artemis II space mission and talk about what the future may hold for space exploration. What the students enjoyed most of all was seeing the night sky illuminated on the background of the dome in the middle of the day. Our trip to the Vanderbilt Planetarium sure was a blast!
