Dear Salk and Macarthur Families,

Welcome to a new school year! We hope you and your students had a restful and enjoyable summer. Whether your child is entering middle school, navigating the high school years, or preparing for graduation, we are excited to partner with you for a successful year ahead.

The PTA plays an important role in supporting our school community by enhancing student experiences, supporting staff, and fostering meaningful connections among families. At the middle and high school levels, this support may look a little different—but it is just as important. From student programs and school events to teacher appreciation and community-building efforts, our goal is to help create a positive and engaging environment for all students.

We understand that as students grow more independent, family involvement can change—but your engagement still matters. Staying connected, attending events when you can, and supporting PTA initiatives all help strengthen our school community.

Throughout the year, we will share updates about meetings, volunteer opportunities, and events. We welcome your ideas, your feedback, and your participation in any way that fits your schedule.

Thank you for being an important part of our school community. We look forward to a great year together!

Warm regards,
Donna Ganiaris and Michele Sewitch
