Gardiners Avenue First Graders Explore the Long Island Children's Museum - image001 Mrs. Donnelly and Ms. Monniello's students, along with their fellow 1st grade classes, recently enjoyed an exciting visit to the Long Island Children's Museum. Guided by a tour guide, the class explored a variety of engaging exhibits, including bubbles, space, patterns, and homes. Students learned about the composition of bubbles, what it takes to be an astronaut, and how patterns influence their daily lives, from the smallest details to the larger picture. They also compared their own homes and lifestyles with those across the country, discussing ways of cooking, games played, and activities like sewing blankets. After their adventure, the students reflected on their experiences, sharing their favorite moments from the day. It was a fantastic opportunity to make learning about these concepts relatable and memorable!
