The Jonas E. Salk Middle School Music Department recently showcased its talent and dedication at the Music in the Parks competition, earning high accolades for their outstanding performances. Under the direction of Mr. Bastone, Ms. Grabowski, and Mrs. Levenberg, the school's performing ensembles received Superior and Excellent ratings, a testament to their exceptional musicality, preparation, and teamwork.

In addition to these impressive ratings, the Salk Music Department was honored with the prestigious Esprit de Corps Award a special recognition presented to the school that best exemplifies positive spirit, cooperation, and respectful conduct throughout the festival. This award reflects not only the musical excellence of the ensembles but also the professionalism, camaraderie, and school pride demonstrated by every student and director involved.
